The strain on business due to Covid-19, the coronavirus, is causing disruption all over the world. However, there are some actions that you can take to get help and ease that strain.

The government has announced a range of funding and relief for affected businesses. There are now loans being offered to those feeling the strain.

Additionally, the government are paying for 14 days of statutory sick pay if you should fall ill due to coronavirus, available from the first day, for businesses with fewer than 250 employees.

The business interruption loan scheme has been massively expanded from £1.2m to £5m. Grants and business rate reliefs are also available for the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors. In addition to these, the proposed changes to IR35 have been pushed back another year to 2021.

There are also a number of business disaster planning tools that can help you to weather the strain, repurpose your organisation and avoid drifting into the red.

If you would like to discuss business support during this difficult time, don't hesitate to contact us at Alembic.
